What's New at Jamie's Country Stitches

This month for Embroidery Club: Our project for Embroidery Club June 24th will be an Embroidered Travel Jewelry Case...at least that is what I am calling it and yet I believe this clever little folding case could come in handy for a number of other uses...sewing case, receipt / coupon holder, cosmetics, etc, etc. Attached find the supply list...note that the design requires a mega hoop for Bernina machines or a 6" x 10" stitch area on other brand embroidery machines. I have a supply of frosted vinyl...let me know if you need it when you call the shop to sign up, 954-755-2411. Class hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., cost is $30.00. We are now stocking and selling the Anita Goodesign line of embroidery designs. You may have seen these great embroidery designs in your embroidery magazines...now you have a local source to make them your own. Stop by the store to peruse the design catalog or go to the Anita Goodesign website, www.anita-goodesign.com to start your wish list of design collections. Janine has been stitching samples as fast as she can so that you can see the designs actually sewn out and in the store.

Jamie’s Country Stitches welcomes year 2008 with an array of great classes…many of your old favorites and several ventures into new territory, such as stripping…strip piecing that is! 

Strip piecing is the latest craze to infect the quilting world and we have caught the fever here at the store.  We introduce to you the “Monday Morning Strip Club”, an opportunity to create a different and versatile quilt or project each month using 2 ½” pre-cut strips.  These projects are fast and easy, as most of the work of cutting has been done for you, and you will start the class sewing.  Phyllis Corona will guide you on your way to becoming a “Happy Stripper” with classes scheduled for the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month.
