Beginning Quilting 101
We welcome new quilters with our very beginning class, “Simply Strips”. We will patiently guide our new quilters into the world of rotary cutting, piecing and quilt preparation while encouraging them to go further. Four weeks. $40 - Supply list.
Beginning Quilting 201
As part of our Alex Anderson series, we are implementing Alex’s “Rail Fence” class. In addition to discussing tools, fabric quality and preparation we will use Alex’s method for rotary cutting and perfecting “seams and seam ripping”. Four weeks. $40 – Supply list.
Beginning Quilting 301
As part of our collaboration with Alex Anderson and Bernina, we are now offering the “Friendship Star”. This class is for students who have had some basic quilting experience, the focus working with simple triangles – their piecing, pinning and pressing. Learn Alex’s methods for sashing, borders, basting, machine quilting, binding and labeling. Four Weeks. $40 – Supply list.
Beginning Quilting 401
Taken from Patrick Lose’s pattern “Hugs and Kisses”, open your eyes to the world of fusible and machine appliqué. “X’s and O’s”, lots of hearts, make this a quit you will surely love. For graduates of Beginning Quilting 101 through 301, the next step towards your “Quilting Degree”. Four Weeks. $40 – Supply list.
Beginning Quilting 501
For the graduates of our Beginning Quilting series, a sampler-style quilt used to “show off” your advanced quilting skills. Done in a beautiful collection of fabrics, choose a focal point in your home to display your “final exam” in beginning quilting. Five Weeks. $50 – Supply list.
