Serenity
this graceful underwater creature, is an original design by Jo Donato and employs machine appliqué, thread painting using metallic and rayon threads and fiber couching of variegated and eyelash yarns. The binding is a unique method developed by Jo in an attempt to allow the design to continue to flow. Hand dyed cheesecloth becomes seaweed caught in her hair and tail while glass fish, pearls and shells waft in the surrounding water. This is a class to nourish your creative side. Instructor: Jo Donato Dates: class fee is $45.00 for the two classes.

Multi-hooping will be the technique of the day next week when we set about creating this 12" square design and requires 3 hoopings. This design is suitable for pillows or jacket backs. Once we have embroidered the design I will lead you through the process of creating and splitting the design with the Bernina software.
